My Musical Achievements
Sam & Max Contest
In 2023 I was awarded the grand prize for the Sam & Max Holiday 2023 Contest with the help of my friends Hudson Winter, Ryan Avery and Jacob Ammons. I arranged, recorded, edited and mixed the video which was recognized by the developers and of the composer, Jared Emerson-Johnson.
Scored the Soundtrack for “Cat Powered Ufo”
From 2019 to 2022 I worked with Squashed Newt Games as a composer for the indie game: Cat Powered Ufo. This was my first video game soundtrack that I began working on while I was still in high school. In 2022, the game was officially released and was praised for its catchy soundtrack.
Commissioned Work
I was commissioned by Dr. Dave Camwell to write a double Saxophone Concerto for the Covert Ensemble. My composition, "The Harvest of Time", had its world premier in Canada and its second performance in the Czech Republic. This performance is with the Troy University Symphony Band featuring Dr. Dave Camwell and Dr. Michael Shults.
Recognition from Grant Kirkhope
Ever since I was young I was inspired by the creative geniuses at Rare, especially in the music department. I grew up listening to the soundtracks of Grant Kirkhope, Robin Beanland and David Wise and from then on I knew I had to pursue a music career. In 2022, I made a cover of Mr. Patch from Banjo-Tooie and Grant kirkhope recognized it on social media!
Youtube Collaboration
In 2023 I partnered with youtuber, Kagley, to create a remastered version of the “Mumbo’s Mountain”. Kagley recreated all the visuals from the original level and I was tasked with creating the music. It was a great opportunity to put our talents together and I look forward to future projects with Kagley!
Featured in the Paper
I composed a piece for marching band which was performed by Troy University’s the Sound of the South. In 2019 I met with Dr. Mark Walker about writing a piece to be played at a Troy football game, at the time I was only a junior in high school, and later that fall it was performed. This image is from an article that was written about the event.
1st Place at Competition
I won first place at the Enterprise music competition for my piece “The Warden of the Woods”. My piece was performed live at the recital along with the others who placed in the competition.
